Prairie Wave is a boutique video production company rooted in rural western Canada. We make documentary and story-driven work for the people, organizations, and communities that define this place — the ones who have chosen to stay, to build, to fight for something on this land.
Twenty-one years of Prairie Wave. A lifetime on the prairies.
We've been making film on the prairies since the late 1990s. We've worked with major construction companies, universities, energy organizations, conservation groups, sports organizations, artists, First Nations communities, farm families, and small towns across western Canada. The technology has changed. The work hasn't.
We still believe the most important moment in any project is when someone says something they've never quite said before. Our job is to create the conditions for that moment — and capture it properly.
Our Process
We don't start with a shot list. We start with a conversation.
You tell us what you're trying to say. We figure out the best way to say it on film. Then we show up, on your land, in your community, inside your organization and we stay until something real happens.
We handle everything. Concept, production, editing, delivery. You don't need to manage the process. You just need to be ready to tell your story.
